BugHerd is a bug tracker with a board, seats and a workflow. Sometimes that is exactly what a project needs. Sometimes you just want to point at a broken button and send someone a link.
Both let you click an element on a web page and leave a comment, and that is where the resemblance ends.
BugHerd is a bug-tracking system. Feedback lands on a kanban board, gets assigned, moves through statuses, and syncs out to Jira, Trello, Asana and the rest. The page is the capture surface; the board is the product. That earns its keep on a long-running project with a team that lives in a backlog.
Website Feedback Tool is a comment layer and a share link. You pin notes to elements, one click freezes the page into a snapshot, and whoever opens the link steps through your notes in context. There is no board, no assignment, no status. When the round of feedback is done, the link is the artefact — and it expires on its own after 90 days.

Everything in the BugHerd column comes from their own pages — bugherd.com/pricing and bugherd.com, read in October 2026. Check them rather than trusting this table: they are BugHerd's pages to change, not ours. Everything in the left column is what this extension does today; the documentation spells out the details and the privacy policy says exactly what gets stored.
We would rather you pick the right tool than the cheaper one. Reach for BugHerd (or another tracker) when:
None of that is what a share link does, and pretending otherwise would waste your time.
